Hawthorne Valley Farm is looking for a full-time Production Business Manager for its three production units - bakery, sauerkraut cellar, and dairy processing. Principal responsibilities will include financial oversight, product development, and marketing for these departments. Supervisory, financial, and business experience, along with strong social, communication and computer skills, is necessary. Experience with biodynamic agriculture and organic/biodynamic certification is desirable. Hawthorne Valley Farm is a dynamic organization, located on 400 acres, that includes a sixty-cow dairy herd, 12-acre market garden, full-line natural foods store, on-site dairy processing plant, bakery, green market department, and Community Supported Agriculture program. Hawthorne Valley Farm is located in Harlemville, NY, about 35 miles southeast of Albany and twenty minutes from Hudson, New York; a half-hour from the Berkshires of Massachusetts; and 2.5 hours from New York City.
