Community Supported Agriculture
CSA: connecting consumers and farmers
lettuce flats

Here in the Valley, we have forged a special relationship with members of the community and with those who support our farm and our farming practices. An outgrowth of this, our CSA program, was developed. Interested consumers sign up and pre–pay, on an annual basis, to receive a weekly share of the produce that is harvested throughout the garden season (June through November).

Our CSA

  • 250–member CSA
  • organic and biodynamic produce from Hawthorne Valley Farm
  • over 40 varieties of vegetables grown on 10-acre market garden
  • fruit shares (from local organic & IPM farmers) available
  • weekly delivery of produce for approximately 21 weeks
  • local site (Harlemville) and three sites around the New York City area (Garden City, Inwood, and Riverdale)
